Volume 4 of VIGNETTES OF THE BALTIMORE AND OHIO documents many transitions...steam to diesel, 1950s to 1960s, first generation diesels to second generation, B&O to B&O/C&O. EM-1s and Big 6s, are seen working with FAs, E-and F- units, Fs and early Geeps working with GP30s and GP35s, and Chesapeake and Ohio units mixing in after the 1964 consolidation.

Photographer William P Price filmed the passenger and freight action at many locations on the West End from Cumberland to Grafton, and over Sand Patch to Meyersdale from 1955 to 1965.
